One of my memories of Cherie was how the boys of USTHS described her---my two brothers were her batchmates---and their friends from section E would discuss among themselves how they would like to date Cherie---actually court her ( the better term of those days). They always described her as both brains and beauty with a sweet disposition. And with these attributes, the boys always liked her "because she was not a snob". But because she already had a BF---they respected boundaries. And when I would visit Aggie in the house in Zamboanga, she would always be gracious with a smile.
