I was an undergrad at Caltech and knew Cherie through my interactions with Prof. Barry Simon. Cherie was a very nice person and was always very kind to me. When I was an undergrad, she always let me have free food from the mathematical physics workshops even though I didn't attend any. (I never asked. She just offered it to me because she knew me.)
